Showreel for The NGM Trust

Alexandra Kulykova

Social media and video content creator, based in Thornbury

I film, edit and post social video for small organisations and community groups. This is a short reel of recent work, plus a few honest thoughts on NGM's social media.

A few minutes from the Caedmon Complex Films and edits on phone and camera Adobe Express & Canva

I make content with a real purpose behind it, often on sensitive or community subjects. A while ago in Ukraine I worked on a film about churches damaged during the war, which taught me how to tell a faith-led story with care rather than drama. That's the kind of work I'd love to do here.

The reel

Recent work

Grouped by the kind of job each one was. All filmed and edited by me, mostly on a phone, for social media.

A friendly read

What I notice about NGM's social media

From what's public right now. Shared as a starting point for a conversation, not a critique.

Strengths to build on

  • A real audience already, with around 1,600 on Facebook and a recognisable name after 40 years.
  • A rare amount of raw material in-house: a recording and podcast studio, a performance venue, and your own speakers and artists.
  • Recurring moments that lend themselves to video, like the Spiritual Health Weekends and the weekly community welcome space.
  • A clear, warm message already there in the books and devotionals.

Gentle opportunities

  • The presence feels spread across accounts. There's a second Instagram (@ngm_live) sitting at about 20 followers, which splits attention from the main one.
  • Short-form video and reels look underused next to how much could be filmed at the Complex.
  • A steady weekly rhythm would do a lot, so the feed feels alive rather than event-to-event.
  • The local Thornbury angle is a quiet superpower that isn't fully shown yet.

Three things I'd try early

1
Encouragement reels

Short, calm clips from Spiritual Health content and the devotionals, with a line of scripture on screen. Mostly cut from footage you already have.

2
Speaker & artist Q&As

Warm, short interviews with Nancy and the team, filmed in the studio. This is the kind of host-led interview I do already.

3
Behind the Complex

Gentle, human glimpses of the venue and the community welcome space, tying local Thornbury life to the wider vision.
